Born 1977 in Mussoorie, Art has been an intrinsic part of Amar Sultan’s life since childhood. He made his first strokes with his father’s guidance, and there on the journey as a self-taught, self-learning and evolving artist has been an exciting one. Faced with different situations in his life, he has come through because of what he chose for himself. His works are oils on canvases. The visual language is diverse and includes a vibrant palette, exquisite strokes, strong textures,  unique style and dynamic energy. The underlying emotions for his series of works are inspired from the flight of doves... There is a softness and simplicity which is his unique artistic language.  As an artist he tries to portray peaceful energy. He has showcased his works in 2 solo shows, a duo-show and in numerous group shows across the country. The artist lives and works in Dehradun, India.
