Louis, an artist from Switzerland, 

has to his credit many solo shows and numerous group exhibitions in 

Switzerland, Germany, Spain, the USA and France.

The focus of his artworks is directed towards ironic social criticism. He works with a special crumpling technique, in which the canvases are crumpled,

processed in several steps and finally ironed.

At first glance, his works seem perfect, precisely formed and harmoniously balanced; only on closer inspection do deliberate irregularities become

visible, cracks, scars, stains and fractures. This is his way of depicting life, the eternal ambivalence between perfection and humanity.
